Aroma of flowers and citrus. Flavor of fruit, bread, flowers and BO. It just didn’t click for me. For the style it was poor in my opinion. jmaximus (5), , Washington, USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Glass bomber poured a slightly hazy dark orange (SRM 13). Medium, short duration, off tan head, that left nice sticky lacing. Initial nose was biscuit, butterscotch, and some faint floral hops. Taste was pine, grapefruit and some yeasty earth. Mouthfeel was on the watery side of average. I could have used more carbonation. Finish was malty with chocolates that yielded to a long lasting bitter hoppy grapefruit follow-through.

Poured hazy amber with a frothy, beige head, nice lacing throughout the whole beverage. Lots of hops on the nose and also yeasty which was nice. Lots of grains and hops in the initial flavors. Very earthy and woodsy with some caramel malt for balancing. Finished with some hops. Excellent IPA. BigBang (212), Indiana, USA

After warming up a bit all sorts of flavors and smells come out. Tastes earthy and bitter and pine-y. Not sure what all this talk about heavy malt is about, cause I just don’t taste it. Not bad, just kind of non-descript. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA

Nice pine needle aroma. Taste is bitter grapefruit with a modest malt backing. Cool bottle art. Tasty IPA. IrishBoy (2718), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Bomber from Bottleworks; Nose of grapefruity hops, and some light notes of caramel malt; hazy orange with a huge, long lasting, thickly lacing, yellow head; flavor was lightly bitter and some sweetness with light pine and caramel; finish lightly bitter. Different combo if flavors! Taverner (863), San Ramon, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2008 Fruity banana smell. Pours cloudy orange with biscuit head. Lychee nose is spot on. This is more of a malt-heavy IPA, in the Midwest tradition. Still - it’s yummy, with bitter to the tip of the tongue bitterness. After warming a little it develops an almost a light chocolate maltiness - tempered by the hops that are now in full force. Drink at cellar.
