Fruity banana smell. Pours cloudy orange with biscuit head. Lychee nose is spot on. This is more of a malt-heavy IPA, in the Midwest tradition. Still - it’s yummy, with bitter to the tip of the tongue bitterness. After warming a little it develops an almost a light chocolate maltiness - tempered by the hops that are now in full force. Drink at cellar.

Bottle shared with my pal Tony. Poured deep orange with minimal head. Smelled and looked fresh. Definite malty body. My first thought was more along the lines of a malty tea than beer, but there were certainly grapefruit hop notes there as well, just a bit more subtle than I expected from a west coast IPA. Somewhat earthy, mild pine. Bitter finish, in a good way. Quite enjoyable.

Cask @ WABF 2008. Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Malty hoppy aroma with some piney hints. Malty hoppy bitter flavor with hints of citrus and also some hints of pine needles. Dry malty hoppy bitter finish with a long bitter aftertaste.

[1497-20080617] 1pt6floz bottle. Fruity hoppy citrus aroma. Hazy, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter hops and faint citrus notes in the flavour. Medium-full body is very bitter. Solid bitter.

On tap at Skagit River in Mt. Vernon, Washington--Poured a bright orange-golden body with a fluffy white head. Piny, citrus biscuity nose. Clean, super hoppy flavor yet well balanced. OMG I love this beer!

Bomber poured a lightly hazy copper with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine, orange and mango. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of burnt carmel, earthiness, pine and light orange zest with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Pours a transparent orange bronze with a clumpy off-white head. Aroma of fresh orangey grapefruity hops and lightly sweet pale malts. Body starts fairly full and caramely sweet with a nice citrusy bittering and flavor hop balance. Finishes crisp and bittersweet, a nice IPA.
