Wow, tastes of plenty of hops - citrusy and balanced hopping with a great lingering finish. Silky body with low carbonation. The aftertaste really stands out with this IPA - what a treat! | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 7, 2007 22 oz bottle . Orange copper color. 1 finger head quickly faded to nil.
Slight floral aroma. Taste is first malty sweet then a decent hop bite kicks in. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel was dull, flat.
Maybe it was just the cool skull and crossbones label but I had higher expectations of this brew.4/2004 Ungstrup (15361), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Awesome medium-orange/pink appearance gets full marks. Heavy nose of grapefruit, pineapple and juicy melon are appropriately balanced with wood and grape stalks. Flavour begins with a touch of malt and fruit before becoming overwhelmingly aspirin-like with mouth-puckering bitterness. This bitterness builds and builds to almost unforgiving heights. A "look at me" show-off beer that needs more flavour nuances to be fully appreciated. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
