Pours a cloudy orange with no discernible head and a sweet, orange-juice aroma. Wow, tastes of plenty of hops - citrusy and balanced hopping with a great lingering finish. Silky body with low carbonation. The aftertaste really stands out with this IPA - what a treat! Sampled at GCBF.

22 oz bottle . Orange copper color. 1 finger head quickly faded to nil. Slight floral aroma. Taste is first malty sweet then a decent hop bite kicks in. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel was dull, flat. Maybe it was just the cool skull and crossbones label but I had higher expectations of this brew.4/2004

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy lending it strong notes of grapefruit as well as lighter notes of dust and grass. The flavor is sweet mlaty with strong notes of grass, leading to a dry and very bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

on tap-pours an off white head that laces and hazy amber color. Aroma is nice citrus/grapefruit hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is sweet citrus/grapefruit hops-some bitter, secondary medium malt. OK/mild carbonation.

nice aroma with grapefruit. pours a cloudy orange/red with nice head. Sweet malt. The hops bash you in the head with the skullers oar. Whew!

Awesome medium-orange/pink appearance gets full marks. Heavy nose of grapefruit, pineapple and juicy melon are appropriately balanced with wood and grape stalks. Flavour begins with a touch of malt and fruit before becoming overwhelmingly aspirin-like with mouth-puckering bitterness. This bitterness builds and builds to almost unforgiving heights. A "look at me" show-off beer that needs more flavour nuances to be fully appreciated.

Orange, amber colour with an off white head. Hoppy, fruity and piney aroma with a light caramel sweetness. Hoppy, piney and quite bitter flavor with a peach fruityness.

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 8th, 2007. Small dissipating white head with a deep cloudy orange body. Fantastic nose and flavour of malt with a wild whacky tart hops.
