It was the only thing worth mentioning there. Deep clear brown color with Malty flavor and flat syrupy mouthfeel. It wasn’t horrible but didn’t stand out.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Brownish-amber. Huge off-white head with copious lacings. Brown sugar malts with a northwest bitter hop flavor. Pretty hoppy for a brown. Also feels like a much higher abv than listed on this site. Maybe re-formulated? Pretty bold for a brown ale. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 10, 2008 A nice brown. I’d almost call it a northwest brown. A little more hops than an English brown, but just a slight tinge of hops. Not quite the body or sweetness of what I’d consider the quintennsential (spelling?), but a good brown nevertheless.
