Nov 20, 2009 Another great beer put out by the Skagway Brewing Company. This beer has a great aroma, of hoppes and chocolate. The appearance is excellent, and the taste is incredible. It is quite chocolaty but not too overwhelming.

Aug 17, 2009 On tap at the pub. Brown and thin looking, with no head. Smooth, with an earthy taste. Stronger than commercial browns.

Sep 1, 2008 Thin and average, this one benefits from a good malt taste, but suffers from a odd yeast flavor. Almost comes off as a dark lager. I think it has something to do with the cold storage due to climate. Anyway, it had a great aroma but was nothing special.

May 15, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy brown color with a medium and rocky light tan head that recedes slowly. Spotty lacing. The aroma is malty with notes of brown sugar and nuts. Medium-bodied and sweet with malt, caramel and nut flavors that have a slight hops undercurrent. The finish is malty with notes of dark fruit and hops. Slightly above average overall.
