The aroma is incredibly very appealing, and gives you a good preview of the unique taste that spruce tips have. The taste is unlike anything you have ever had, as the beer is unique, but delicious and very palatable. Overall I give it a perfect score mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Hint of strawberry spruce soap in the flavour. Light-medium body is mildly bitter. Not offensive but is a little odd.

Aroma is quite mild, some pale malts and maybe some spruce. Flavour has a light fruity character, light bitterness and a very light note of vegetation that could be resulting from hops, spruce, or something else entirely. Average palate. Quaffable but on the light side in the flavour. On tap at the brewpub

The malt is a little weak, and once again those odd lager yeast flavors rear their ugly head but this one still shines. This beer would be horrible without the spruce tips, but with them, it is really good.
And the spruce keeps scurvy away! Dogbrick (2869), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Pours a clear light orange-yellow color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Pine and spruce in the nose, along with some fresh fruit and spice. Medium-bodied with a nice woody character, and flavors of piney hops, malt and sweet fruit. The finish is fruity with the fresh spruce flavor lingering in the aftertaste. Very enjoyable all around, and it is interesting that 2 Alaskan brewers feature spruce (an old anti-scurvy remedy) as an ingredient in one of their beers.
