Brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is dominated by spice, but has some decent nutty malt behind it. I sense cookie spices and herbs, too dominating, but at least blending nicely together for a unique aroma. Sweetish malty flavour with the herbs and spices mostly entering the aftertaste.

From tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Pours clear and golden dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is solid spiced, peppery, annis seed and coriander. Annis seed spiced, caramelish and light roasted malty. Lasting spiced and caramelish malty flavoured. Ends vague bitter and spiced. Cloying spiced. Lasting sweet note.

Draught at EsBF09. Distinct aniseed aroma. Hazy brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is sweet and spicy. There is plenty of aniseed and a little aroma hop which sneaks out after the massive malt and spice and attack.

Draft. A dark cheastnut red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of spices, caramel, and malt. The flavor is very sweet With strong notes of spices and herbs - star anise, lavender, and heather - too much for my liking, on a malty caramel finish, leading to a dry, sweet, and spicy finish. Should be a Christmas beer.
