Commercial Description:
This west coast style ale is brewed with a shapely malt body and enough hops to keep her feisty. Amber’s Hot Friend will never leave you with any bitter feelings.

Cloudy amber pour, thin head. Aroma is toasty with a little sweetness and some light floral hops. Sweet caramel, toasted nutty malt, and a pleasant floral/citrus hop finish.

On tap at WABL Fathers Day BrewFest 2008. Pours hazy dark copper with a lacy off-white head. Medium body & light carbonation. Lightly sweet taste and aroma with a little chocolate, a little pine, and loads of brown sugar and nuts.

less malt and more hops than other ambers ive had, its more like a solid pale. strong carbonation good head. great finish as the hops are present and bold but not aggressive

On Draught at the Washington Brewers Festival. Aroma is citrus hop blend forward with light sweet malt. Appearance is a hazy copper with an off-white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward with strong hop flora, more like an IPA. Beer has a medium/light body and strong carb texture mixed with the bittering. Overall, a very interesting beer, just too hoppy to be considered an amber.

Tap at fest : Cloudy amber, small beige head. Light piney hop/sweet malt nose. The flavor is mostly malt, it could certainly use more hops

Amber in color with a thin head. This was great amber ale and a great way to end the festival for me. The beer had a deep flavor and the name was also very fun. Liked the mild malts that gave this beer a refreshing easy drinking ability. Good use of hops and a nice easy finish.

Draft at Fred’s Rivertown. Pours deep murky amber with a thick, moussy white head that almost looks like a nitro pour, it’s so creamy. Nice piney nose, though not very strong. Medium body, tingly carb, forward flavors of caramel, biscuit, and pine, ending in a nice crisp pine finish. Good stuff. A little closer to an IPA than an amber, but who cares?

Heavely malted biscuity bread style with nice caramel notes and lingering sweetness. Smooth and pleasant.
