Interesting brew - very dark and heavy. All sorts of roasted malts with some lingering figgy notes. Dry biscuit aftertaste with a sort of nutty-cacao finish. Interesting.

Preliminary rating (Skookum taproom, 1st batch): Hazy chestnut colour. The aroma is quite toasty. Fresh, husky, biscuity, toasty flavour but a bit thin at the end. Brewer told me he wanted more sugars in the back to round out the body and that’s a good idea. Will revisit in the summer.
