Commercial Description:
This American Pale Ale has a brilliant white head that gives way to a sweet oak and citrus aroma. Light caramel and wood tones initially and ending with a crisp, clean finish. Definitely quaffable.

Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a pale orange color with small white head. Has a malty aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Slightly sweetish malty caramel finish.

On tap at WABL Fathers Day BrewFest 2008. Pours hazy copper with an off-white head. Medium body & light carbonation. There’s some oak in here? Really?! It didn’t have much other flavor to go up against, so where are they hiding it?

Opaque orange, small beige head. Light fresh hop nose.Very thin light hop profile. Didn’t notice any woodiness at all. Not much here.

Not as pale as most pale ales, which was alright with me. As the name implies, the tree takes a starring role in the aroma and flavor. It is well interwoven with the sweetness and medium bodied malt. Nice drink.

Preliminary notes (1st batch): Crisp, light oak aroma with a bit of fruitiness. Clean malts, sublte snappiness at the back. Brewer did not indicate any major changes for this, but I’ll revisit in the summer nonetheless.
