Commercial Description:
A German beer type, that has its origin in Einbeck in Northern Germany. This beer type is brewed in the early spring, the type is comparable to the Danish easter brews - and yet very different.

The beer has a good palate, and to brewing it, there has been used vast amounts of different caramel malts, that gives the beer a sweetness and a beutiful dark golden color.

Ahorn sirup has been added, that together with the amount of caramel malts, underpins the sweet flavors.

This bock can be described as being very malty in both flavor and aroma, with a hint of smoke.

It is definately a beer that we are proud to serve for our guests. The very filling and malty beer should be enjoyed slowly :-)

Draught. Red-brownish colour with an average head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Flavour is sweet and bit malty with good hops, bitterish finish. A good bock beer.

(On tap) Beautiful clear, reddish brown with a creamy, beige head leaving laces. Rather weak aroma - perhaps with a wee touch of caramel. Medium body with a solid, malty character. I don’t really sense the added maple syrup though - the yeast probably chewed it all up. Distinct bittering hops in the finish. Solid but unspectacular. Would have loved some juicier malts. 140306

A deep red beer with a slight hazy under an OK beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of cowberries and light metal - not unpleasant, and probably from the alcohol. The flavor is sweet and very malty, combined with light notes of berries, that gets strong towards the end, where light notes of wood and burnt malt also sets in together with ligth alcohol notes, which makes the end quite dry. There is something in the aftertaste that bothers me, but I can’t describe it with words - but maybe it is the acidity and slight grapefruit note (my guess is it is from the hops), that You usually don’t find in a Bock. This is not a bad beer - nut neither good.
