Little aroma. Some maltyness and a little hop apparent. No smoke here.
Balanced toward a nice hop, with a delicate smoked after taste (and no, I don’t smoke). Some licorice.
Thin. Fizzy.
Refreshing. Nice, yet not very special. It is in the details. Odd since this is a smoked.
Smoked based on ale, rather than amber lager means BJCP would classify this as "Other smoked beer" rather than "Classic Rauchbier".
Purchased in SuperBrugsen, Halmtorvet.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 21, 2009 Bottle. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Caramel-sweet nose with a little fruityness. Not bad, just uninteresting and a bit weak. Sweet, caramel flavor with some fruits. A little bitterness too. As the aroma, the flavor isn’t much to brag about. Quite dry in the mouth. Certainly not a beer I’ll return to, it’s too boring for that. 090720 madsberg (5044), Søborg, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Bottled. Deep amber coloured. Light off white head. Vague smoke, nuts, wood and some light fruits in the aroma. Flavour is nutty, sweet, fruity, caramelly and light smoked, Medium bodied. Ends on a light smoked bitterness. Definately not the signature smoked. borisz (188), Netherlands

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2009 500 ml bottle. Sparkling copper. Tall off-white fine-laced head. Lots of bubbles. Carbonation is high. Earthy and peppery aroma with hints of nuts and caramel. Rich malty flavours, but with a crisp texture. Finish is dry, almost puckering. Quite a bit of hops, but they are not at all fruity. Instead dry and herbal. The smoke character is really subtle and does not really identify itself as smoke. Instead it is more of a wooden oak character with tannins. Decent, but not a favourite. rane (507), Nibe, Denmark

Beautiful appearance, amber with huge pale brown head. Arom fruits, nuts, and malt, not much smoke.
Taste very special, nutty, some malt, sweet, a little vineous. It reminded me of a biere du garde. But as a smoked it´s missing a lot of smoke.
