Bottled. A light golden mead. The aroma has notes of honey, citrus, apples, and other fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey and apples, leading to a dry finish with notes of honey and alcohol.

Sharply floral, pollen forward. Delicate, dusty and eye opening, much more character than I thought would come from a dry mead.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very pale gold with no head. This is a still mead. The aroma is very mild honey with notes of yeast and crayon. The flavor is not an improvement over the aroma with lightly sweet honey and an off-putting waxy flavor. The waxy flavor lingered into the aftertaste. Dry and very lightly acidic at the finish. Disappointing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Clear, pale golden with a greenish hue. Tart and flowery aroma. Medium body, sweetish spicy but also with an underlying acidity. Almost like a white wine. 200908

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Extremely pale yellow. Citric nose. Dry and vinous. Fresh and very drinkable like a Chardonnay. The honey is there, but restrained and it’s accompanied by a biting acidity. Very elegant. The most drinkable mead I’ve tasted.

Bottle. No head (still). Body is clear very light yellow (not too far from colorless). Aroma is lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of minerals, cat urine, vegetation, glue, hints of sulfur and alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, flat carbonation, lightly alcoholic. I thought Sky River would score a hat trick after having their brilliant Sweet and Semi-Sweet meads, but this one is not to my tastes. Granted, it’s still wine-like, but not in a way I find pleasant. There are certainly white wines whose intended aromas I don’t care for (cat pee, sulfur, etc.), so this is partly just a preference thing. I strongly recommend the Semi-Sweet and Sweet meads from this company, however.

Lightly tinted water, mild honey like aroma with a decent but mild fruit side and fairly sweet. The flavor was quite nice, but not as refined as the Jadwiga which is what i compare all meads too.Sweet honey like flavor with a few fruit flavors that are kind of hard to describe but after looking at some of the fellow RBer’s notes i can see what there saying that there is a slight raisiny taste here, but the grape escapes me.It’s a nice Mead that will be a good one for trying Mulled to see how it changes.More then worth while to try again.

very clear, almost as clear as water but it has a slight yellow tint. Sweet and fruity aroma with a light honey note and a little alcohol. Sweet, slightly sour and vinious flavor with grapey, raisony notes. Light bodied and dry.
