goldtwins (3738), Nesconset, New York, USA Apr 7, 2008 Poured a slightly hazed copper with an off-white head. Odd aroma of vegetables and caramel. Thin and light caramel flavor. Mostly dry with a bitter finish. Thin light body. JoeMcPhee (3807), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Mar 16, 2008 Bottle shared by golubj. Aroma is quite light but loaded with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. A bit of allspice that gives it a lightly pumpkin pie-like character. Some light molasses character along with some gingerbready sweetness. The malts are lightly sticky and sweet and remind me a little bit of Pumpking, but obviously dialled way back. Quite a nice brew though. notalush (2070), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Mar 15, 2008 Bomber shared by golubj - hazy copper beer - overwhelming ginger and nutmeg in the aroma, with a hint of vegetal qualities, but not much else - the same pretty much goes for the flavor - really powerful nutmeg and gingerbread, reminding me of fall/winter pastries - the pumpkin ale comparison is apt - man, that ginger really overpowers, though. riversideAK (1630), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jan 21, 2008 Pours a copper color with thin white head. Aroma of gingerbread men and a touch of honey. Cinnamon and nutmeg in front with honey in the back. It might be a little buttery too. Has a lingering cinnamon spice too. Medium body with soft carbonation. Good example of a winter beer. Nice spicing and drinkability. rocbyter (658), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Dec 29, 2007 Strong nutmeg and cinnamon aroma. Clear light orange color with not much for a head. Mild amount of cinnamon in the beginning fading in the middle and nutmeg come out late in the finish.
