Bottle, september 08. Almost clear golden color with a medium, bubbly white head. Aroma is deep, perfumy, peaches with some slight fruity notes. Interesting. Flavor is solid fruits with some strange citric and sweet notes that add complexity. Nice. Mouthfeel is medium, sparky, coating and refreshing despite its strength. Hoppy aftertaste. Nice, crisp, citric and fruity blond. A surprise.

Bottled 330ml. -just Slaapmutske Blond. A bit hazy golden/yellow coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, spicy hoppy herbal nose. Moderate malty, very spicy and slight yeasty with notes of hops and orange peel. Nice and pleasant beer.

Bottle at De Garre beer cafe in Bruges (highly recommended if you can find it tucked away on a side alley within Old Town). Pours cloudy golden with a decent sized white head. Nose is restrained sweet malt and citrus fruits. Flavours are similar to the nose with a nice citric hop finish. Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Very drinkable. Yet another fine Belgian ale.

Don’t know ultimately when to drink, but drunk it and estimate it a batch from 2008. It’s not on the bottle so I had to guess with taste. Good, perhaps young even a very fine wheat beer. Great palate of bitters. Low on alcohol. Fine for active summer leisure. Keep this one in mind for 2009 batch. Eh... found out there was a date on the bottle... black print on top of the dark blue cap. It reads EXP 05/11.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Yellow colour with green tinges, creamy white head. Fruity nose with notes of yeast, hay, herbs, spices (coriander?) and grassy hops. Fruity taste with toffee, pineapple and grassy hops with a character reminiscent of Saaz. Hints of yeast and spices in a fresh finish. Well balanced and fresh beer, fairly dry for a Belgian blond. Nice one!
