I expected a lame beer, instead it’s a pleasant Pils: some malt aroma, creamy; even better malt flavor, with a cereal and honey touch, possibly even crispy, and a good quality hopping. Easy but pleasant. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Comments: A pretty decent Belgian pils really, sweet as is the case with most of the country’s attempts, but still crisp, highly carbonated and well hopped.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Belgian yeast aroma. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is also a lot like Belgian yeast. Some bitterness. Tastes a lot like a Belgian blond. Not a pils, but not bad either. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands

I know the style gets no respect around here, but I thought this was a nice one with some character. Golden beer with a whitish head that goes filmy. Bready aroma with notes of sourdough, corn tortilla and and grass. Light body, dry, and mildly bitter. Grassy, refreshing. Bust out the Belgian lawnmower. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium

Nice golden lager with soft carbonation and creamy head. Good soft aroma’s with some fruityness and a faint hoppy touch. Smooth and refreshing taste with a small bitter touch that is well integrated in this outstanding lager. It has a nice a clean afthertaste.
