Very little in the way of aromas ... well, OK ... a hint of spiciness and, as I brought it to my lips, yes, a hint of cheese. Big, off-white head that collapses slowly into a nice, moussy consistency, leaving some lace. Orange amber, slightly hazy, but that is unsurprising. Slightly lactic sour. Quite dry. Almost watery, medium-light bodied. leaving a slightly sour aftertaste.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Spice, sweetness and light fuits and a tad of yeast in the aroma. Flavour is grapy, and fruity. Has some sweet, yeasty and spicy notes as well. Medium bodied. Dry. Ends on a grapish note. Quite refreshing.

Light amber coloured, average carbonation with an average but diminishing white head. Malty caramel roasted, yeasty aroma, with some little alcoholic touches. Medium body with some sprankling. Finish is bitter, little roasted, alcoholic bitter touches.

Bottled 33 cl. (Bles zottegem) -A blonde-camber oloured beer with a white head. The aroma is hoppy, honey ? and some herbs. A very drinkable beer. It taste as more alcohol danit’s really. Love it !

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark golden with a firm white head. Spicy aroma of leaves, orange-peels and pepper. Sweeter flacvour of yeast, oranges and quantalope melon. Fairly dry aftertaste of oranges and almond. Decent belgian session ale.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 2 Sep) Colour is amber with firm white head. Nose is fruity with fresh aromas of orange peel, toffee and spicy hops. Taste is malty and fruity with citrus, orange peel and well balanced spicy hops in the dry finish. Fairly short but very fresh.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from the Belgian Belly. I belive this was brewed in honour of a man who won the town crier competition in Belgium somewhere. As a result I am fairly confident that it is a one off. I should try and get more info and re-rate. A mixed bag reception on here and I can see why. It is one of those you either like or you don’t. Thankfully i do. The initial pour gives a HUGE bubbly head but it dies almost as quick as it forms to a thin covering. The nose is quite spicy with some orange and something a little minty about it too. Spritzy, almost salty mouthfeel and quite earthy and wooden too. The finish is dusty and the hops come through to add some balance. I have to say I personally find this enjoyable and certainly better than its current score would have you believe. Not a world beater but pleasant and suppable all the same.

Bottle. Lightly spicy, citric, yeasty, with sme slight peachy fruit characters. A bit light, and as mentioned by others, lacks depth.
