Bottle. There’s some microfloaties in it, giving it a hazy, orange body. Nice off-white head. Fruitysweet on the nose with orange and some lemon, and a tiny sourness in the back. The flavor goes in the same fruity direction, and has some bitterness as well. Medium to full body. Bitter finish with some fruity sweetness. A delicate beer, but slightly boring. And to me, not very Easter-ish. (090213)

33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink Easter beer, not complex, hazy, rocky head, nothing special

Bottle from Bier Tempel, Brussels. Pale gold with no head and moderate carbonation. Sweet malt aroma with a clean tasting, slightly spicy flavour and dry finish. A pretty good lager.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Golden body with decent head. Buttery nose. Wheaty and hoppy taste. Not bad. Some fruit notes. A bit of butterscotch again. Not sure about the easter connection. Soapy, as noted by others. But not bad either. Picks up a bit in the finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear and a bit pale golden with a small white head and a yeasty, sweet and spicey aroma, much like a sweeter hefe weizen. The flavor is weird, somewhere between a cheap pale lager and a less sweet triple, sweet grains, spicey (coriander at least) and a tad sourness in the end. Hardly any finish. Is this really a traditional product of this region?

At Aarschots Bierfestivn, Belgium, on March 23, 2008. (Draught) Clear pale golden color, small white head. Herbal, sweet, a bit spicy scent. Sweet, herbal, spicy, butterscotch taste. Medium a bit spritzy mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness. Both scent and taste are a bit of unfermented wort.

Bottle (Poechenellekelder, Brussels)
Clear light orange, thin head. Initially a fruity aroma, a bit grainy. Anna spotted caramel too. Taste is very subtle, but a powerful light and husky grain, with a fruity hoppiness. A little watery, but not too thin. Similar kind of drinking experience to a golden ale.
