Hazy yellow color, small white head. Overwhelming diacetyl aroma. Also butterscotchy sweetness in the flavor, hints of honey. Sourness and weak hops in the aftertaste. Possibly infected bottle. To be rerated.

(Bottled, BBE 03/2008) Hazy golden color (opaque orange with yeast) with a huge (initially like 10 times more volume than there’s liquid!), foamy head. The head later clumps into somewhat Duvel-like clouds. Crisply hoppy, grassy-flowery aroma. Pouring in the yeast makes it a bit De Dolle -like. Hoppy and moderately acidic, flowery and yeasty-lemony flavor with butter and fruitiness. Buttery-flowery vanilla in the aftertaste. Light to medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, neutral palate. A very tasty, refreshing and balanced easter brew. Either I got a particularly good sample, or else this beer is way underrated here...

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a lot of sediment. Small white cloying head. Enjoyable caramel ryebread aroma also allowing for a hint of grass. Sweet, ryebread flavours, bitterness sets in from the middle and dries the palate. Light-bodied, fizzy. I quite like this beer, a bit more body would have made it even better.

Golden body, medium white head. Aroma of hmetal, grass. Light flat flavour, distant fruit but absolutely no depth.

Bottled - Evening Star Brighton. A pale blonde coloured beer with a huge rocky white head. I couldn’t get the whole bottle in on the first pour. The aroma is sweet and floral with a little spice. The taste is quite sweet with some lemon notes. Loads of carbonation and an obvious lager feel. On the thin side but quite tasty.

BCA (from Bitter Virtue, BBE Mar 08). Fruity with some strawy hops. Mild drinkable with sweet fruity malts. The high level of carbonation could give a shock upon opening if you weren’t expecting it.

Bottle, gift from Eduard Morshuis. Blonde with the tiniest chunks of yeast floating. Fruity (mango) aroma. Mangoin the flavor, but also some hops, although the fruit rules. Fruit aftertaste. Almost powdery mouthfeel. A touch medecinal.

Bottled at ZBF. Blond body with a small white head. Nose is sweet malts, light floral notes, yeast and light graininess. Taste is pretty much the same. Malty, floral and yeasty. Light grains and a touch of fruit as well. Body is light with mild carbonation. Finishes the same. Lacking...
