341 ml Bottle. A disappointment. I picked up on the smell of corn and grain in the mix, as well as an unfortunate smell of cheap alcohol. The taste was more bitter then I expected, with that returning cheap alcohol taste. Its really too bad considering its a 20th anniversary ale.

341 mL Bottle. Clear gold body with a thin rocky head leaving some spotty lacing. Very mild grainy aroma with hints of grass, lemon, and honey. Grainy flavor with hints of pear and grapefruit followed with a sweet malt and hop bitter aftertaste, a mild pear-like taste lingers in the finish. Not overly impressive but also not too offensive.

Golden in colour with a very thin white head, light patchy lacing. The aroma is pretty basic with some grains, lemons, cereal and caramel. The flavour is of cereal and grains, bread, some grass and citrus, overall plain. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes fairly quick with some cereal bitterness.

Not a very good anniversary beer but that’s not a stretch coming from Sleeman.

341ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Opened on June 15, 2008.
No date.

Smells like my early brewing days using kits. Has that cheap yeast/alcohol smell i worked to remove from my bears. Gold colour looks fairly nice. The beer tastes fairly good. It was not as sweet as I feared and the subtle hops worked well with the malty grainy main flavor.

Bottled. darker than most sleeman brew, good carbonation. Maltier than most sleeman brew, but essentially the same formula. Its not bad, but its not good: Its Sleeman.

Draught sample. Dark gold in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas of very mild Clementine orange, lemon, black pepper, and cereal grains. Fairly light bodied and watery, with more mild citrus and pale malts. Uninspired for an anniversary beer, but probably the least offensive Sleeman product I’ve had.

Bottle. Golden with a foamy head, yeasty aroma with some lemon and pepper. I taste sweet malt, a bit of unpleasant bitterness.

Poured from bottle. Lots of thick head. Nice golden color. Malty smell and taste. Very drinkable, but nothing special really.
