Pours a malty looking gold colour with a fair amount of carbonation and a slight, thick looking white head. The aroma is largely malt, some grassy scent too. The taste is pretty average in alot of ways, the malt expected is there, along with a biscit taste. There is the bit of yeasty doughiness contending at the back as well. A pretty full mouthfeel, and for a beer thats brewed 30 minutes from my house, ill buy this one again for sure. Viper666 (643), Greenfield Park, Quebec, Canada

ILduce (135), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Flavour is reminiscent of boiled veggies, grass and a little citrus over a doughy backbone. Round mouthfeel despite a watery body. EnSiFeRuM (501), Quebec, Canada

Dear Mr. Sleeman,
It appears that you have crafted an enjoyable golden/blond ale that actually shows potential to be something I’d purchase again, but unfortunantly you chose (as you so often do) to package this product in clear glass. The clear glass has oxidized this ale resulting in a skunky aroma that almost ruined this otherwise pleasent brew. Please refrain from using such glass with future products or at least put some of every batch into the lovely 473 ml cans you offer.
Sincerly,

Slight grassy aroma. body is light, and there are some slight hops. Best part of this six pack was the swag, not the beer. The bottle opener included was sweet! | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2008 A golden ale with a thick white head. Lightly hopped malt aroma with notes of sulfur and biscuit. In mouth, a crisp malt with light grainyness and herbal hops. Short in mouth. Not bad for Sleeman. Bought at LCBO. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Lightly grassy hops over caramel malt in the nose. Clear deep golden body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled white head that recedes slowly to a lasting cover with nice lacing. Caramel malt up front with grassy hops and fair bitterness. Sweetness lingers in the aftertaste. Medium light body with quite strong and somewhat distracting carbonation over the watery texture. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle (BCLS at Hellsgate, Jun-08).
