Bottle 341ml
Appearance: Good, solid gold, medium carbonation visible. Bright medium sized top with some lacing.3+
Nose : Mineral , citric fruity feel. Generic hop , grassy accents . Hint of oxidation was noted as well.
Flavor/Palate : Medium , light bodied . Clean grainy malt is the main theme. Clean , simple straight forward . Light hoppy finish.

Nose has faint traces of pecans, brown sugar, couscous and a light malt. Nothing seems to dominate here, strange. Quite a foamy pour. Dusty blonde, like it has a faint brown coating. Starts like a bitter lager and doesn’t start to develop till past mid-palate. Blonde-like hops, brown rice, and that light malt again. Something else unique here - a mouth coating that has the slightest brown sugar taste. Absolutely delicious effect! Finish is abrubtly bitter but quickly fades.

341 ml bottle, clear glass (sigh), 4.8% a/v Pours a malty looking gold colour with a fair amount of carbonation and a slight, thick looking white head. The aroma is largely malt, some grassy scent too. The taste is pretty average in alot of ways, the malt expected is there, along with a biscit taste. There is the bit of yeasty doughiness contending at the back as well. A pretty full mouthfeel, and for a beer thats brewed 30 minutes from my house, ill buy this one again for sure.

Poured from bottle. Lots of thick head. Nice golden color. Malty smell and taste. Very drinkable, but nothing special really.

2008-08-10. Copper amber body with a modest white head. (3+) Mild grainy aroma with light yeast, and a grainy character that stirs vague memories of some other Sleeman’s product but I do not recall which. The grains carry over to the flavour, light astringency in the finish. Average palate. Bit dull, which I assume explains the severe boredom evidenced in the server’s face when she poured it.Bottle, Toronto Festival of Beer

Bottle: 3 weeks from bottling according to the date code on the box, so I have a fresh sample in prime shape. Appearance: Pours a deep burnished gold color with a very decent 2 finger fine-poured sticky white cap. Fair cap retention, decent lacing. Moderate fine bubbled carbonation. Aroma: Sweet grainy-doughy aromas mix with some fruity notes and wet grass tones. Profile: Nice flood of biscuit malt in the front light sweetness with a pleasant peach fruity-herbal undertone, silky creamy mouth feel, finish goes to a mild balance of fruit esters, biscuity malt and earthy-herbal hops, clean finish light metallic after taste. Very pleasant smooth and drinkable ale, if it has a fault it is that it is a tad thin in the finish and the profile understated but others would say this is its subtle strength in a mild golden ale. I believe this to be a cream ale like those commercially made in the region prior to prohibition. One of Sleeman’s better efforts.

341ml clear bottle. Pours a nice deep gold colour, head is compact, but last a fair while, white in colour. Light citric hop aroma, traced breadiness. Flavour is bready malt, grains, fair amount of citrus hop. Very little bitterness, some mineral notes. Dry finish. Medium body with quick carboantion. Drinkable basic Canadian golden ale. Nice bottle opener included with the 6pack.
