Commercial Description:
Remarkably smooth for a full-flavoured beer. Our founder's intention was to combine the refreshing taste of a German lager with the distinctive taste of an English Ale without blending the two.

12 oz. can. Pours a pale straw color with an average white frothy head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is of faint maltiness with a very light corn-like character. The flavor is initially crisp and clean with a bit of corny sweetness. Finishes with a light bitter flavor of short duration. Body is smooth. Overall, a nice drinkable cream ale.

On tap at the Diesel Theater while watching a performance of The Evil Dead- The Musical. Pours a dark gold with a medium white head. Mild biscuit malt aroma. No so creamy, but has a nice mellow lemon finish.

bottle: I don’t enjoy cream ales but weak, watery & very sweet . . . .has that awful malt liquor feel to it which is stomach turning. Never liked this beer & still don’t.

straw yellow pour with thin lacy white head - reminds me of the watery american cream ales that I used to drink as a kid (Little Kings, Genesee, etc.) - probably an ok thirst quencher beer and maybe a good gateway beer but nothing special stands out

Pours a straw yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is musty, corn and wet dog. Taste is lightly carbonated, vinegar and grain. Not one ill be trying again anytime soon.

473 ml can from the lcbo. i was very surprised to see that i hadnt rated this. one of my roomies in uni used to drink this beer exclusivly so i had more then my fare share on night that he would pass out early. after noticing i hadnt rated this i picked one up so i could do a proper rating. pours pale yellow with a mid white head. very weak malty aromas, no hops in the nose. flavours are weak and watery, bland and boring. palatable without any off flavours but far from something id have regularily.

Typical low rating from the reviewers her for a decent cream ale. Cream’s dont get any respect on this site but this is a fine example. Not bad.

Slightly better than BMC standard products. Poured light amber with a modest head some lacings. Aroma is herbal, metallic. Taste is fuller than most macro products. Some bitter hops. Don’t really taste the English Ale in the product description. Overall not too exciting for me.
