Commercial Description:
Remarkably smooth for a full-flavoured beer. Our founder's intention was to combine the refreshing taste of a German lager with the distinctive taste of an English Ale without blending the two.

This was the best Air Canada could do on my trip to RBSG in Montreal: A yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is slightly hoppy and slightly sour - I wonder if some sort of brewing cereal has been used. The flavor is sour hoppy, with a dry end and a thin body.

Bottled. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is mild fruits, maize, malts and some slight notes of caramel. Flavour is the same along with paper and some mild notes of rubber.

Very pale ale which proposes a light corn aroma. Tiny bitterness, tiny notes of hops among other cereals, but far from complex. It lacks of substance, not Sleeman's best.

Got this 12oz bottle as a gift: Pours a transparent dull golden with a thin ring of fizzy white head that leaves a thin wisp of lace as I tilt the glass. Aroma of semi-sweet, toasty grainy malts and some noble hops. Actually kinda smells like a good pilsner. Body on the other hand is very thin, fizzy, and almost devoid of flavor. Just a touch of sweetness and more of a drier bittering hop finish, but the lively carbonation makes detecting subtle flavors difficult. This wouldn’t be so bad if it were concentrated a little more and had less carbonation.
