Initial: Hoppy with a slight, sweet, honey taste, slightly bitter, strong carbonation does not suit this beer, very palatable.
Finish: Not quite honey, but you get that honey aftertaste. No hops, some malts. The flavor doesn’t linger on your tongue, something I like.
Overall: A good beer, maybe less carbonation, more honey and stronger malt presence. I would buy again, especially for the price (4.99 @ class 6 WPAFB). matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA

Honey Brown Lager: Pours a copper colored body and a wispy white head. The aroma has light hints of honey, cereal, and sweet corn. The body is thin and very effervescent. There is nothing desirable here… nothing at all. This is a waste of good space in the Albertson’s cooler. Nonetheles, this beer was better tha the Cream Ale but overall: IT SUCKED! And I’m pissed that I have three bottles of this swill left to dispose of! !

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Bottle pours dark honey colour with large white head that lasts 35s. Pleasant with any sandwhich. Flavour is overly sweet. The one downfall is the lack of balance. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2005 I smell a hint of honey in the aroma, along with wood and yeast. The color is brown gold with a red hue. The head is not that big. The flavor is nothing special mainly because I don’t taste the honey. I have had sweeter beers made from corn. This is supposed to be a honey lager right? I do taste the hops which are lacking in most lagers of this style. The palate is fairly good. Better than your average lager I guess but not by much. Slightly nutty aftertaste. nicholai (101), Helsinki, Finland

The mild honey flavour did not fully compensate for the stale flavour. The fizz was harsh & aggressive - but understandable. A drinkable beer [1.5]
