Rather average appearance - could definitely be more dynamic as there is little head or lacing and a definite syrupy look is evident. This beer does have a pleasant grassy aroma with lots of malt thrown in. Flavor also approaches something pleasant but the thin body leads instead to a nagging cloyingness and graphite tinge brought on by the honey. YET, if left to sit in the mouth for a while before swallowing, a strong floral hoppiness kicks in which cancels some of the negative flavor element. In general, Sleeman could be a lot better than their current average ratings if they fixed the thin-syrup element and maybe got rid of the clear glass bottles.

A sweet, creamy lager with a good head. Clear bottle can lead to skunky beer, especially if it has been in the store too long. Don’t think too much about this one or you may realize that it isn’t as great as it’s premium price tag suggests.

Beer looks great in see thru bottle. Beer was not as cold as I normally like but still had smooth taste from start to finish. Tried to notice the honey taste but could not pick this out

This is the beer that you’ll always find a half-drunk bottle and five untouched at a party. It is decently malty and has some flavour, but it’s just not great flavours. If you crave the taste of malt liquor without the image, and want to pay more, while getting less alcohol this is the beer for you... Yeah. Actually pretty good on tap, but we’re talking about the bottles, which are always skunked.

Slighly roasted malt, and a saaz’y type of hopping. More complex than most other honey beers I have tried. A certain sharpness and crispness about the hopping compliments the honey characteristics. A good blend. I could of almost mistaken this one for an ale.

The best of the standard sleeman beers, but that doesn’t say much. Most will drink this cold, but I recomend {and will review} it warm. How Warm? Room temp will sufice. Drank from bottle. Golden brown in colour, fule on the nose {that meens you can smell the boose} light carbonation, small foaming, qickly disapates. Smoth palate with slight honey and mild lager malt dancing ever so slitly on the taste, slightly watery, first aftertase mildly bitter {a nice change in a canadian lager} folowed by golden honey sweetness, nice trace of hop on the molars. Awfuly gazzey in the belly {that meens it makes you burp} All in all, not bad. Certianly not good enough for sleeman to price higher than any other canadian micro {and even the demestics} If you’re a bitter ale drinker, suddenly in the mood fer a lager, pick up a coupple o dees and have them warm, every one else, LOOK HARDER, there’s a better choice

out of the sampler this was the best one, had a slight honey, caramel type taste that was pretty thin and watered down. this company sucks.
