Light brownish color, decent head, found it drinkable, as it came in a sampler pack. The cream ale is the best of the bunch. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Nose is sweet malt, crisp and clean with the start sweet and nicely malted, top is light in its feel to the palate. Finish is benignly acidic and the hops apropos to the style, a crisp refreshing beer. RichardGretton (3145), Leicestershire, England

| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Aug 26, 2004 Amber coloured beer with an off-white dissipating head. God this stinks! Skunky aroma with a hint of honey and cooked broccoli. Flavour is equally horrible, some maltiness, but also some skunky metallic taste. I used to drink this all the time... what was I thinking? | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2004 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light amber coloured, with minimal off white head. You can smell the honey, along with sweet malts. Taste is sweet, malty and honey. full bodied with a good mouthfeel, average carbonation.. My first Sleeman; pretty good. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 23, 2004 A definite improvement on the cream ale, but mostly because it knows it’s a lager. I suppose you can find the honey and brown sugar buried well under the skunk and the carbonation. Needs improvement. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2004 Bottle (clear bottle btw, what’s up with that?) Pours a lovely honey color just like the name implies, with a moderate off-white head that lingered fairly well. Aroma is lagerish, malty sweetness, a little soap and slight floral hops and metallic notes. Flavor is a bit sweeter than expected - probably a result of the honey - fairly bold for a lager but otherwise unremarkable with hops and honey in the finish. Fairly full body, prickly carbonation and definitely interesting mouthfeel. Not bad - actually better than expected considering all the "Sleeman is the devil " company bashing that’s been going on since they purchsed Unibroue. TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
