Just as with the honey brown, this has a few traits that initially faintly suggest some character (caramel, sour mash), but it quickly becomes more of a bland amber ale or macro pale lager. Disappointing. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 18, 2006 Pour is a brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a small amont of malts. Flavor is about the same, a small amount of malts and not much else. Pretty watery and bland. bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Feb 17, 2006 I will give my honest opinion. I believe that if Natural Light were to make a dark beer this would be it. I think this is the butthole of dark beers and I do not recommend it to anyone, unless you like a mediciny or skunked taste to your beer. The only reason why this sells is because it is in a cool looking bottle and it is cheap. I guess that the unique flavor that is talked about in the "commercial description" is crap. The only reason why this beer got any points was because it looked descent in a glass and they have a cool bottle. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Little bit of chocolate and caramel aromas as well. Lively and malty sweet. Good bittersweet choclate malt backbone. Nice hop note that is piney and slightly citrus. Easy yet light and watery. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 12, 2006 Bottle at the grad club at UWO- Dark amber base, with an off white head that fizzes away. Aromas of corn, grains, raisin bran? Skunky too. Sweet malt flavour base, mild bitterness. Mild bitter finish. Not good, but not bad.
