Metallic malt scents with a little caramel. First taste was very easy going. Roasted malts with a little brown sugar. Finish was slightly bitter with not much lingering. The bitterness was the only taste left. jerc (3945), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 9, 2004 Aside from the colour (light brown) and a slightly more malty flavor, this is just like Sleeman's cream ale. It will do in a pinch, but it's nothing too special. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Light brown color with little head. Fruity aroma. The taste was mildly hopped with a fruit maltiness. I thought this was worthy of drinking again. Was, however, wonderful for marinating steaks it gave them an excellent beery taste with none of the poor qualities of drinking. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

Vaguely skunky notes follow the mild caramel aroma, and the slightly sweet and fruity hints in the aroma give just a bit of interest to the otherwise forgettable concoction. Later on it gets actively offensive on the palate--too sharp and producing metallic ugliness. Frank (1067), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 29, 2003 This has what I'm coming to know as the typical Sleeman flavor, sweet and slightly cidery. It's a darkish copper in color with a very small foamy head. Slightly watery and very boring.
