| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Bottle at a friends house. Couldn’t see the color or head in the bottle. But, the aroma was sweet malt. Very sweet and heavier than I expected. Finished rather quick for such a sweet ale. strangaj (229), West Chester, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Has clear brown appearance with white head. Malty aroma is consistent with most amber ales. Taste is not well balanced and I dislike the suprising bit of hops that tales the malty flavor. Not a very good amber ale yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA

Original Dark 50* Amber Ale. Interesting malty aroma with dark fruits. Flavor is better than you would expect, with good malts, dark fruit, and some slightly spicy hops, but not much bitterness. A touch of caramel and brown sugar. Not great, but satisfying and very drinkable. BeerBlockaid (548), Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Pours a deep amber colour, malty aroma, cereal, caramel and malt flavour. Sharp finish, lingers awhile at the back of the throat. Nothing too memorable but drinkable. fivealex (3), Ontario, Canada does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 15, 2007 My beer of choice in Ontario (along with Steam Whistle Pilsner)...I think they put ’crack’ in the ingredients...once you drink one, it’s too easy to drink another, then another... fuyajo (225), Portland, Oregon, USA
