This unpasteurized lager is inspired by the natural freshness and sociability of draught beer. Brewed using proprietary Sleeman ingredients, and a special hopping process that delivers its distinctive flavour and cold refreshing taste.

Bottle from LCBO. I got this bottle off the loose singles shelf with no idea how long it had been sitting there under the lights, so I half-expected to be hit with a face full of skunk when I opened the clear bottle. Surprisingly, there was no hint of that at all - instead, I got some mild bready malt notes and a hint of honey. Colour was a bright pale gold with a small white head. Body is thin, a bit sticky, but not bad. Flavour sticks pretty close to the aroma - quite sweet and one-dimensional, with a quick finish. I was actually surprised by this - it’s far from being a great beer, but it was better than I expected given the ridiculous marketing campaign and Sleeman’s past track record.

341 ml clear bottle. Golden colour with a mostly lasting creamy and rocky white head. Grainy and light caramel aroma. Lightly sweet grainy flavour with a faint brown sugar finish. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel.

Ordinary macro new product beer. Drank in bottle.... Nothing special about the taste, corny and watery. Was kinda cold when I drank it so i gave the feeling that it was refreshing. Nothing to make you say its disgusting but nothing to make you say that you will buy more again.

Corn nose, straw yellow, pours a small white head. Flavour is corn and adjuncts, harsh, like a malt liquor. Very poor.

What Josh said... and as for what Trev said, I don’t think that it was a dissapointment as much as as expection. Also to what Trev said, their aim was indeed to "reproduce piss poor draught lager in bottle".

Ah hell yeah, hook me up with the latest and greatest from the mightly Sleeman factory. In between batches of Bull Max, Canada’s finest "craft" brewers churn out some more industrial swill. Billed as having a cold, refreshing taste I thought perhaps they’d invented a self-cooling can and made a Rodenbach clone. And added a little CO2 tank to the side of the can and a tiny spigot on the top, because of course this is supposed to be draught beer. But alas, the can was plenty warm and not at all draught beer. Kind of hard to have a cold taste, well physiologically its impossible but you’d need a self-cooling can to at least have a shot at it. Refreshing, not so much. I drink a lot of water when it’s hot and this cannot match water, nor iced tea, nor the aforementioned Rodenbach. You see, sweet fizzy things aren’t refreshing, be they cola or macrobrew. It actually started off fairly clean, but as it warmed up a bit (robbing me of whatever opportunity I may have had to find that elusive taste called "cold") I noticed some vegetal notes. Bleh. I wish I could say more about the beer, but the beer didn’t tell me that much about itself. Maybe it’s shy, or maybe it’s just that shallow.

Very dissapointing. If their aim was to reproduce piss poor draught lager in bottle form then they’ve succeeded. Pale clear yellow with medium white frothy head. Grassy/grainy aroma Taste is bland bland bland. Slighty sweet maltiness. But it fades in and out for some reason. Underwhelming with the first sip and gets blander as you continue. Their Amber seemed a step forward but S.O.D. is a very poor beer (in my opinion) Had to come back and lower the score. In retrospect the numbers didn’t reflect my impression of the beer.

Clear yellow w/ fizzy white head. Semi-sweet, grainy aroma. Light feel. Clean, light malty sweet flavour w/ a very light grassiness in the finish. Overall, however, quite bland.
