a very light but evident smell, colour is very golden (its in a clear bottle... showmanship over preservability..pfft), tastes like less expensive beer filled with lots of preservatives and has an unpleasant artificial sweetness to it, but its not too strong. i dont know why someone would buy this considering the price

473ml can from Harry! Nose is sweet grain with a touch of caramel; clear dark gold with a big off-white head; flavor is sweet with a touch of honey. Better than the macros.

500mL can from the LCBO. Lots of adjuncts here, not thrilling. Could be worse. Tasted much better on the Via train than it did at home.

341ml bottle, 5% a.v Pours a slightly darker then normal gold for this style of beer with a decent white head. The aroma is soapy, chemicals, wheat, and corn. The beer tastes sweet, corny, and overall not that great. Actually fairly dissapointing from what ive had before from sleeman. This is borderline malt liquor taste.

[1007-20071226] 341mL. Corn-based yeasty dough aroma has just a hint of skunk. Clear, yellow brown body with a quick foamy white head. More corn grain malt in the flavour. Light-medium body. Almost fair.

Bottle my mother-in-law recently brought back from NY - Pours a crystal clear golden color with a one finger thick white head. Light carbonation. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet grain. Flavor is the same. Light to medium body. Nothing fancy, but drinkable.

What a disappointing trip back to the homeland. I don’t think I’ve rated anything higher than 3. Thank God there’s plenty of Creemore available where I am. This was better than what the ratings would suggest but barely. Even the most adept beer lover would have a hard time telling the difference between this and any other off the shelf brew. No real aroma, taste is light with perhaps a little honey flavor. Smooth with no real aftertaste. Doesn’t even have the typicall Sleeman skunk taste that comes from the clear bottle. Which concerns me...exactly what is this?

Fairly deep bodied. Kind of sour, sweet aftertaste. Smells malty, not pleasant or unpleasant. Pours a decent, slowly diminishing head. Not bad, not good.
