I really enjoyed my first sip, but the beer seemed to get worse instead of better as it warmed. Some offensive characteristics came out as are usually associated with pale lagers such as a sour corn malt taste, as well as a lack of hop movement. This beer looks good, nice golden colour and a head which really lasts and I love the clear bottle (although I’m sure that will lead to some skunkiness in cases), but I don’t think I will buy this one again. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 30, 2005 Pours pale gold with virtually nothing for a head. Of all the Sleeman products this is the cleanest and most refreshing. I don’t remember ever having one that had skunked out. Not as sweet and has somewhat more hop balance than the usual suspects. pintbypint (1007), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Pale gold in colour, actually managed to hold onto a head for quite some time. Dryish aroma, light grassy hop. Pretty light in body, bordering on fizzy. Malty/grainy flavours, trace bitterness in the finish. iambeer (255), Ontario, Canada

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Nov 23, 2004 Stenchy, skunk laden aroma with some mustiness. Pours a golden yellow, thin head. Harsh aftertaste. Corn flavour. Another putrid offering from Sleeman. Thank god Unibroue is there to balance out the products. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Purchased in a Sleeman sampler for a Thurs chat night. Pours with a thin white head and a medium gold with few carbonation bubbles. Aroma of earthy hops and some rotten grass clippings. The flavor is a slightly minty with some strange wheat. Alost has that playful saaz hops chracter. The flavors are muted with soapy aftertaste.
