Commercial Description:
A rich, well-balanced pilsner style lager. Its extra body gives it extra smoothness with only a fleeting, pleasant after-bitterness.

Purchased in a Sleeman sampler for a Thurs chat night. Pours with a thin white head and a medium gold with few carbonation bubbles. Aroma of earthy hops and some rotten grass clippings. The flavor is a slightly minty with some strange wheat. Alost has that playful saaz hops chracter. The flavors are muted with soapy aftertaste.

Golden amber, with a white head. Weak on the malt. There is a soapiness about it. A slight degree of crispness. Medium lingering on the palate. Lively carbonisation. saaz hopping?

Clear straw appearance, dying foam. Grainy dry aroma. Bland, watery, dry flavor. Very Pellegrino-ish, non-descript finish.

Mid gold colour. Cardboardy aroma. Sweetish flavour, with a touch of malt and some bitterness coming through on the finish. Otherwise, not much else going on. Certainly not the worst I’ve had, but not too interesting. 341ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk. BBE 27 September 2004.

2004 bottle. Pours a urine-like yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of sour corn and light alcohol notes. Some paint thinner and some sharp notes of something. Extra light body and vigorous overcarbonation. Flavor of corn and some bitter something (perhaps hops?) Not much to speak about.

Clear, bright yellow appearance. Unappealing light citrusy nose and flavor. Dry finish helps. Thin body. Swillish, but drinkable in a braindead sort of way.

Pale gold. white fizzy head. Light aroma of corn & malt w/ some faint grassy hop notes. Thin, grainy feel. Clean, sweet flavour w/ a hint of hops. Quite bland.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden colored beer with almost no head or carbonation. Aroma is quite skunky, which surprised me since I pick what I thought, was a fresh batch. Aroma is quite weak as expected. Taste is also quite weak with limited malt and again that skunky feel coming out. Still a mystery why they bother using a clear bottle.
