Commercial Description:
A rich, well-balanced pilsner style lager. Its extra body gives it extra smoothness with only a fleeting, pleasant after-bitterness.

Light gold colour. Not a whole lot of aroma, just a sort of pale malt/grainy thing. Not a bad grainy, mind you, just a whole grain, crunchy malt I guess is what I’m trying to say. It’s fairly smooth, with an even balance between light pale malt and light fruity hops. Carbo is low, too. Sweetish - certainly not a pilsner - and lacks the distinct hop aroma that it had when I first tasted it...what, ten years ago now? I’d view it as a Stella competitor - a good pale lager but still a pale lager.

Somewhat chalky, grainy aroma. Grainy, somewhat medecinal flavor with the slightest touch of grassy hops.

Very pale yellow color, not much head to speak of. Skunky aromas come out, but disappear after a few seconds reminding that cool bottles don't make good beers. The taste is pretty sweet and a little metallic indeed, must be drunk cold.

I know this is going to be rubbish, but these things have to be done now and then. Aroma of skunked nuts? Taste is like a smooth oil based paintwith a taste of turps in there. I suppose this gets points for having nuts and a not bad appearance.

Typical pale golden colour, highly carbonated with a fast fading white head and some lace. Thin aroma, malty with some faint fruit and flowers. Flavour is very thin with very little hoppiness. Not offensive but not that good either.

Yellow color with a small bubbly head. Light corn and grain aroma. Hints of apple and hops also. Sweet artificial mart flavors. Not clean and by no means quenching.

Reading the other rating comments I almost feel ashamed liking it. It’s good drinking. Nice head. Bit hoppy, bit sweet.

Mid gold colour. Cardboardy aroma. Sweetish flavour, with a touch of malt and some bitterness coming through on the finish. Otherwise, not much else going on. Certainly not the worst I’ve had, but not too interesting. 341ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk. BBE 27 September 2004.
