RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 11, 2007 Pours a clear gold with a lot of white head. Massive lacing on the way down. Nose is sweet and thick...just like I love the Belgians to be. So far, the signs point to a good experience. Flavor is oh so smooth. Sweet and even, it almost seems to have a slight nutty edge to it - or maybe it is wood-like. Very slight at that, whichever it may be. Standard sweet and citrus aspects to it, but this isn’t just a standard brew. This one is well crafted and extremely smooth. Feel is great. Good levels of carbonation. Drinkability? If this were readily available to me (I brought it back from a trip), I’d be drinking this all the time.
scotty (740), Scotland Aug 23, 2008 A Ronnie beer. Looks good, nice straw colour white head is ok but dies quite quickly. Not much on the nose, palate is slightly sweet & malty with a clean citrus edge. Nice brew.Trying hard not to make comparisons with Duvel! aru (60), Smørum, Denmark Aug 11, 2008 Yellow color with large long lasting white head. Sweet creamy flavor - quite complex to the heavy side. thegreenrooster (1492), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jul 30, 2008 Pour is a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is very grainy for a Belgain with lots of sweetness and some yeast. Flavor is wierd with some dark fruit then a intense sweetness followed by a soapyness. I did not care much for this one. BoBoChamp (656), Gent, Belgium Jul 20, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, clear, rocky head, good brew, but not a topper MiP (5041), Flensburg, Germany Jul 19, 2008 Bottle, 7.5%. Sweet, spicy aroma. Almost clear golden colour, big stable white head. The flavour is sweet and perfumy. Hint of metal in the aftertaste.
