Bottled. Cloudy reddish-brown colour, with bubbly head. Chocolate is most prominent in aroma, there are also notes of fatty fruits and yeast. Just like the aroma, chocolate is very dominating, it gets pretty one-dimensional here. Smallish hints of banana maybe. Little yeasty maybe but that’s about it. This is indeed a very balanced beer but I’m surprised this won gold in Swedish Homebrewing. The taste doesn’t last long either. Mouthfeel is very smooth though. Props to Charles Cassino, I’m sure the original batch was better than this.

Comments: Toasty take on the style with less yeast work than most. Rather sour breadiness is most of it. Besides, spicy and fruity.
