Orange/amber colour with a low but firm head. Sweet and malty marmalade aroma. Flavour is sweet, caramel malt with an alcohol bitter finish. A nice bock.

Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Rather sweet and warming beer, there’s also hints of root vegatables which I don’t find that pleasant, even though it doesn’t screw this beer up totally and it’s definitely drinkable. I prefer the Majbock from Grebbestad though.

Jun 15, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Clear amber golden with an off-white head and a beige head. Solid maltiness in the nose. Fairly good body with some rather odd ashy accents and a very bitter finish. Not bad but very atypical for a Heller Bock. 160408

Jun 11, 2008 Bottle. A amber beer with a off-white head. The aroma and taste is of caramel, corn, hops and some alcohol. Medium to full body with a light bitter dry finish.

Deep orange, tiny head. Grainy and nutty aroma, Anna thought peanuts, I didn’t. Slightly gingery hops too. Sharp lively palate, also creamy. Smooth sweet gingery-cake maltiness. Pleasant well-balanced hops. Some peanut taste later, so Anna was right about that earlier. Very solid smooth brew, full of flavour and character.
Grovlam (2915), Copenhagen, Denmark
Jun 1, 2008 Bottle. Average creamy off-white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Clear sparkling amber color. Aroma of fruit, grain, mild hops, very smooth with a hint of warming alcohol. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and smooth pleasant texture. Light to moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Fruity toasted malty smooth finish. Quit nice.
