Slottskällans Imperial Stout

Draught. Fruity, alcohol, chocolate milk, light smokiness. A lot going on here. Plum, port, vanilla, oak, watermelon. Awesome. Dark black clear with tan lacing head. Silky thick body ith light carbonatio, warming. Taste is phenomenal, second to DFHWWS so far. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, oak, toffee, many more. Finish is sweet and bitter, with pleasant chocolate roasty after. Great beer.

RERATE: Had this on june 24, Midsummers Eve, 2005. A bottle stored since december -03. Just wonderful. Black with a yellow/beige head. Incredible malty and fruity aroma, with the cocoa, chocolate and licorice still showing. Flavor just as good from vanilla, toffee, chocolate and cocoa. Some licrorice and a great body. This one really has matured in the best of ways... Nov- 03: Draught at the Ardbeg Room, Stockholm. Black with a wonderful brownish head. Aroma is dark chocolate, some sweetness. Flavor is cocoa, coffee and chocolate. Somewhat bitter in the finish, but overall a quite mild stout. (6/4/7/4/15

black colour, fine brown-tainted head and a nice lacing, complex nose, strong coffeish aroma, pastries and plum, roasted with some notes of alcohol, oily and bitter, very long aftertaste of black chocolate and coffee - very balanced, subtle with a strong character at the same time - this is a great beer, a big thanks to Per for this one !

[Bottled] Very black with a small but compact brown head. Intense aroma of very dark chocolate and strong roasted coffee. The flavour is even more intense and powerful. Very full bodied. Long lasting aftertaste. A fantastic brew. One of my favorites at the Danish Beer Festival 2003.

Bottled. Black. BIG beer this. Aroma of plum, dark chocolate and phenol. Rich flavour of dried fruits, prune, and coffe. Pleasantly dry. Fiery mouthfeel. Well hidden ABV. I love it! Just wait a few years and this will become better!
