Incredible malty and fruity aroma, with the cocoa, chocolate and licorice still showing. Flavor just as good from vanilla, toffee, chocolate and cocoa. Some licrorice and a great body. This one really has matured in the best of ways...

Ober (401), Best, Netherlands Oct 11, 2008 A black colored beer, with a thick beige foamed head. The aroma of chocolade with dark fruits. Hops and a little sweet. The aroma of pure bitter chocolate. ripe dark fruits, like prune. A full round body. The aftertaste is full, bitter and dry. When the beer gets warmer there are some porto notes. TEJA (144), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 5, 2008 Bottle from 2007. Big light brown foam that slowly goes down to a lace. Nice smoth chocolate aroma and some dried fruit. The taste have a nice chocolate maltinessbut not to big body to be a imperial stoute. An propriate bitterness with just a hint of residual sugars to balance. No burnt malts present in the taste so I would say it is more of a porter than stoute. Still a nice beer. Beer_2000 (1269), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 3, 2008 330 ml bottle.
