Commercial Description:

Golden color with decent white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of lemon and grapefruit. Dry bitter grassy flavor, slightly herbal with taste of grapefruitpeel.

Bottle. Clear yellow-golden body. Little off-white head. Lotts of CO2-bubbles. Aroma is bready. Has a dominant hop-profile. Crispy and dry aroma. Flavor is from lots of hops. Also bready and dry bitter. Well balanced biterness! This lager is more like a pilsner because of all the dry hops.

Golden colored with little white head. Strong butter dominates this still recognicable slottskällan brew, flowers, herbs and some aromatic raisins also here. Medium bodied, carbonated palate. Flavor is also rich with butter dominating, flowers also present with fruits and some rye notes. Aftertaste gets nicely bitter with soapy tone. Good brew.

Lovely hoppy aroma. Very much the Scandinavian craft pilsner but that’s not a bad thing. Reminds me a lot of Ölvisholt Skjálfti, again, not a bad thing. A bit dusty flavour, fairly full in the mouth and solid, nice hops to finish it off.

Bottled. Bread dominates the aroma, there are also notes of caramel. Flavour is more pronounced with typical nutty SB character along with big grassy hops and a crisp overall feel. The finish is really dry, which allows the bitterness to shine through and last very long after. Good beer!

Bottle. Golden color with a nice white head. Bready and malty aroma, slightly hoppy. Flavour is grassy, caramely, dry, crispy and bitter with notes of citrus. One of the better lagers. Reminds me actually of Brewdog Punk IPA. Update: On the negative side is that some bottles can have that typical Slottskällan taste of root vegetables. It’s not what it was when it came...

Bottled. Clear golden with a large, white head. Malty and bready, fresh aroma. Grassy, nutty flavour; typical SB. Fresh and crispwith a fine, late bitterness.

Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep golden, quite small white head. Bready and caramelly malt aroma, with the typical SB potatoe cellar touch there but less pronounced, strong herbal and grassy hops. Nice lingering bitterness. Well balanced. Probably my favourite Slottskällan beer.
