| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2007 Tap at Barcade: Deep amber, nice clarity, with a well sustained tan head. Very aromatic bouquet. The amarillos jump out with a rich fruityness of apricot, mandarins and roasted caramel. Velvety carbonation with loads of resins in the flavor; the hops also give off a rich fruity flavor of apricots/orange-rind) with the perfect toasty malt back. Finish is slightly perfumy, long and dry. A very solid IPA. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA

Very aromatic peach and apricot amarillo hop aromas. Rich caramel malts infused with the subject hops creates a marmalade-like fruity character finishing with a citric grapefruit rind and resin bite. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great varietal hop showcase from the apparent IPA masters. I’m loving this one..... jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Growler. Thanks to FooFaa for sharing this one. Deep red body with thin head. Aroma is alcohol with a slight citrus feel. Taste is slightly bitter with a nice smooth alcohol taste that warms you up. Ends smooth with a nice sweetness clinging to you. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Amber color with a medium head. Aroma was very piney with just a bit of citrus. Taste was an interesting mix of hop flavors - piney then floral-grapefruit and back to pine with enough malt backing to keep them hops honest. Like all of the SF single hop IPAs, the quality is consistent and allows the hop varietal to present itself front and center. TomDecapolis (3194), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a translucent golden amber with an average off white bubbly head that left some lacing. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, some variuos citrus and floral. Some caramel malt. Flavor was more earthy, pine, some grapefruit, and toasted malts lots of hops bitterness. michael-pollack (2707), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Draught: Aroma was heavily hoppy and bitter. Smelled of Amarillo hops and citrus fruits. Spicy scent. Poured amber in color with a medium tan head that lasted throughout. Great lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor was very bitter but not sweet. Tasted of grapefruit and Amarillo hops. Light to medium body. Crisp texture. Dry bitter finish. Overall a very good varietal IPA. At this point my second favorite IPA of the IPA Project. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 28, 2005 Pretty much all thier IPA’s from this project have the typial amber/deep orange look to it, all posessing a slight head which lasts and has a good lacing. Aroma in this one is Fruity- slight orange flavors and some other citrus with a touch of pine. A little grapefruit in the flavor as well. Typical crystal malt and pale malt backbone of all the experimental single hop IPA’s. This was one of my favorites of all the single hop IPA’s but the balance of 113 makes it an overall better IPA.
