On tap at Phoenixville. Not knowing what to expect with this, it was very light tasting. Not like a raspberry lambic. It is deceivingly light in body, and can absolutely sneak up on you at 8%. A nice selection in the sample we chose. Took 2 more bottles home.

Ruby red color with an off white head. Aroma has some sour raspberries and sweet fruit. Flavor is sweet and tart raspberry with some syrup. Have had lightly carbonated and overly carbonated bottles. Needs more than less. Is a sticky mess when under-carbonated.

Purplish-red color with a fizzy pink head. Aroma of raspberry puree. A hint of tartness at the end, but it’s almost metallic. Some fruit upfront. Light and not much to this beer. Disappointing.

750 ml bottle poured into a wheat beer glass produced a light pink head that dissipated quickly and a beutiful dark purple body. Black raspberries dominated the aroma and flavor. Not quite as sweet as I antidipated. Has a short, sweet finish. Very good bottle-conditioned fruit ale.

Bottle at the Cuvee de Castleton release at Captain Lawrence. Pours a hazy red brown with some purple highlights. Not much of a head. Soft sweet raspberry aromas. Egads is this sweet. Cloying artificial raspberry flavors are overwhelming… very one dimensional.

Bottle. Pours a purple body with a white pink hued head. Raz and soda like sweetness. Spritz y with a moderate body that gives it some character. Its decent for what it is.

Cage and corked 750 bottle 24/11 Pours a deep purple with a fizzy deminishing light purple pinkish head. Very little lacing. Aroma is just about all Raspberry. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is sweet raspberry but not awful. Has a good tart kick. Mouthfeel is pretty good. This bottle was aged over a year so I think that helps. A dryish texture. A decent finish with a good aftertaste.

Bottle courtesy of Hopdog aged for about a year. After reading reviews on this one, decided to let it sit for a while and see if the tartness developed and give it a bit more dimension. Still a ton of carbonation upon opening...glad the sink was nearby! Pours a beet red with a puffy white head. Aroma is very nice and robust...very heavily focused on the raspberry with a bit of a sour feel. Flavor is tart, full of raspberry, but turns watery, and even near the end, developed a bit of a metallic flavor as it warmed. Palate was somewhat thin. Was hoping for a bit more out of this one myself...wonder if I would have enjoyed it more had I not been consciously comparing it to NG Rasp Tart...
