This really offered little more to me than your typical x fruit American wheat does. Maybe the fruit was a little more dominant -- which is good, as it blocks out the horrible base -- but it still sat on an ugly, mealy, half sour unrefined grain bed that does nothing but get in the way. It was also not nearly as thick or syupry as I was hoping, a la Raspberry Tart -- which is what every sane brewer should be aiming for. TheEpeeist (1492), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet, yes, but not too much. Some granny smith and grapefruit pith. Needs a bit more carb, body and denser flavor. Pleasant. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Had a nice raspberry aroma, no head, purplish/red color, and not particularly sweet or tart. like a fizzy wheat beer or wine cooler. Dreadful zathrus13 (1317), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Red, pink, and a little bown, with a pink head. Aromas are raspberries and grapes. Flavors are tart raspberries and wheat. Thin body, lots of carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Deep red-purple colour with a bright red head. Great blackberry aroma, sweet fruity with a touch of peppery character in the back. Flavour is also quite fruity with peppery/wheaty notes. Lacks a lot of the acidity that I feel a beer like this needs to brighten up the flavour. Not bad, but could be better. pineypower (1108), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2006 Bottle....with a tight cork that makes a nice "pop" sound when released. Pours out a pinkish red with a light pink head. Aroma is of raspberry with some tart notes. The taste wasnt as tart as I would have expected. Nice balance of sweet and tart as I find some fruit beers to be far too tart. Solid beer Dorwart (1831), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2006 Damn this thing was corked tight. Tons of carbonation. Lite and fizzy and soda like. Bubbles coating the inside of the glass. Nice carboantion keeps a thin and short lived wisp of foam on the surface. Light purple head. Color is a dark crimson raspberry. Definite raspberry aroma with some grapes in there also. Light and fizzy in the mouth. Hint of tartness and more raspberries. Light malts in there also. Semi dry palate. Finish is pretty clean with a light tart dry raspberry flavor. An ok brew.
