Pours red with a sweet raspberry aroma. It pretty much tastes like a fruit soda. I feel like the beer characteristics are lacking. Otherwise it is smooth and drinkable.

Bottle: Had this at the Sippin’ By the River fest in Philly. Pour is red with a strong raspberry aroma, flavor is the same, not much going on in this except for raspberries but it is pretty good.

Poured a blood red color with a pink head. The aroma is sweet, fruity and full of raspberries. The flavor is full of raspberry. Semi-sweet. Lively mouth-feel. Tasty if you like raspberry.

This is no light-hearted fruit beer. The black rasberry is over-the-top in your face and dominates this beer from aroma to tail end. Tart with a sharp short hop bite at the end of the swallow. The middle is sweet and sour at the same time. It pours an opaque purple with a small head and little carbonation fanfare. Not my cup of...um...juice.

Hoping for a nice sharp, tart aroma, but it’s pretty bland, like raspberry cream candy. Flavour is also mild and bland, with subtle, faintly tart raspberry and a soapy finish. Body is pretty thin, too. I didn’t like this much at all.

Mild & subtle aroma of overly sweet raspberries, like an artificial raspberry jam -- no sourness or tartness to it which is unfortunate. Flavour, also mild, of very lightly tart raspberries along with malt, hint of pepper and some bitterness in the finish. Also a bit of alcohol in the so-so finish. Light to medium bodied. There’s nothing bad about this it’s just quite bland.

Bottle. Deep pink/purple body, with a fluffy pink head. (3+) Big but diffuse raspberry aroma, tiny note of raspberry seeds. Flavour is dominated by lightly tart raspberry and not much else. Muted malt flavour is overshadowed by raspberry, which is pleasant enough but lacks the depth or complexity to take it from a amiable quaff to a more interesting sipper. 6+/3+/6/3/12-13
