Growler. Aroma of toasted malt, toasted toffee and caramel, delicate citrus hops and some floral hops. Flavor wonderfully toasted with the toffee, caramel, and an increasing toasted grain presence rubbing up against the citrus hops. No, they are not bold hops that many of us (myself included) like in APA’s, but they do add a lovely subtle complexity to all the toasted malt notes of this EPA. Very enjoyable.

Growler from Bellport Beer & Soda. Pours a clear light orange with a thick, foamy white head. Aroma of crisp pale malts, a touch of floral hops, and bready malt. Flavor is predominantly bready malt with light bitter hops and some light sweet fruits. A chill, easy drinking EPA. The hops do not stand out though, and this beer is mostly malt-dominated. Nothing too special but it’s a nice session beer! 7/4/7/4/15 (3.7/5)

Hand Pump at Phoenixville BrewPub: Aroma of pale malts, fruit, light berries, hops, and light caramel. Poured amber/orange in color with a big, rocky, creamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Many large particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of nuts, caramel, hops, grass, vegetables, herbs, and wheat. Very earthy flavor. Medium body. Sticky texture. Soft (hand pump) carbonation. Lightly sweet, malty, herbal-hop finish. Very much like an ESB.

On tap at the Peekskill Brewery, and referred to simply as “The Sly Fox Hop Project”. Pours a clear tawny amber with a medium white head. Pine and citrus hops on the nose. Body is light and crisp. Finishes with a clean grapefruit bitterness.

Draft at P-ville. Pours light copper with off-white head. I got tropical citrus, hops, caramelly malt, and mild florals in the nose. The flavor was malty, with caramel, citric tangeriney hops, and a medium to light body.

Tap at Rford. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy off white head with large bubbles that left lacing. Aroma was light, some citrus notes, orange, toffee, nuts and caramel. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel, floral, nuts, light citrus and moderate bitterness.

Draft at Gman. Aroma is strangely sweet, honey not much else. Flavor is orange hoppy with a kinda minty thing going on, dirty hops. Malts make for a dry finish. As interesting of one of the IPA Project beers that I’ve had.
