Draught at Royersford. Clear orange-copper body with a loose, velvety off-white head. Grapey malt nose with light toffee notes. More fruity malt in the flavor with light caramelization, a note of well-toasted bread and some notable bittering hops. Semi-dry. Overall this is a solid, well-styled Scottish Ale that makes for a decent pint.

Draft at the Phoenixville location, July 2006. An amber beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and toffee. The flavor is sweet toffeeish, but also light notes of butterscotch and whiskey, leading to a dry end with a slight note of alcohol.

Hey, this was my favorite beer of the bunch. Pretty decent flavor, but lacked body as MOST of the Sly Fox beers did. Hey, not bad, I’ll take it.

On tap at Phoenixville location. Pours a brownish amber with small off white head. Aroma of caramel, slight roasted and a little sweet. Was kind of watery. Nothing too impressive.

This one really didnt impress me too much. It was pretty weak on all fronts. A dark brown appearance with some nutmeg in the flavor. Watery. Next.....

On tap @ Royersford: Cola colored with a white head. Aroma is mostly fruit with some sweet medium roasted malts as well. Tastes like tea, sweet fruit, apple, earth, malt, with biting carbonation. Finishes very bitter and dry. While I like the fruit in the aroma and taste, it just doesn’t fit this style.
