This poured a very nice copper color with a small off white head. Aroma? where was it, very, very mild, malty, nutty aroma. Sweet malty taste, some toasted nut, overall this was not anyhing special. Whereas, I look for smoke in a Scottish, and this did not have any.

This beer rocks! Deep, crystal clear mohogany hue. Medium-sized white head with excellent, thick lacing. Aromas of caramel, milk chocolate, English toffee and molasses. The flavor is malty, rich and caramely up front. Very well-balanced with a lightly bitter hop presence on the backside. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Long astringent, dry finish. Excellent brew! World Class! Looks like I'm the only one, so far, who thinks so.

A good session ale. Some malt and whiskey flavors. Nothing too special, but good.

Had this on draft at the Grey Lodge in Phila. Nice version on a scottish ale. Nothing special but I wouldn't turn it down however.

Drinkable Scottish Ale, perfect for a session at the pub. Needs more malt flavor to make it on par with other Scottish Ales.

Very drinkable Scottish ale, brownish in color, nice white soft lacy head, very well balanced, a hint of fruitiness in the aftertaste, just a bit of a hint of hoppiness in the flavors & the aroma, medium body, very smooth, great malt profile, very excellent Scottish Ale

Draught in Phoenixville: This one pours a clear, light brown color. It had a small white head. The aroma was a bit light, but still pleasant. Notes of malts and a touch peppery. The taste is a bit dry. Some roastiness and malt taste. A touch peppery also. A decent quaff.
