Tap at Barcade: The copper pour is topped by an off white, fading head. Aroma is fresh, juicy cascades. Juicy oranges and a caramel hint. The flavor is a pure cascade bomb. Piny, resiny and extremely bitter. They hit the nail on the head in terms of hop bitterness, but it becomes homogeneous and one dimensional. I look for more nuances (malt subtleties) in my IPAs.

Draught at 4th Ave Pub. Clear dark amber to copper color. Unfortunately no head from the pour, but some frothiness comes up later on a good swirl. Aroma characteristic of the Cascade hop- a potpourri of citrus, pine, floral and tea. Flavor marked by these same Cascade traits with a slightly soapy resiny rub on the finish. Pleasant and basically smooth hop bitterness left on the tongue. Like the other SF IPA projects this has that clean but full caramel malt body which showcases the hops while still maintaining a decent foundation and balance. Cascades are of course a great variety of American hops. Great hop varietal equals great IPA project.

Draft->juice glass (tasting@winery): Pours a small, off-white head atop of a dark amber body. Aroma of heavy toasted grain, with some soapiness about the yeast, followed up by a butter aroma. The palate is medium, gritty, and the carbonation is flat, with the finish bitter. The duration of the flavor is long and is moderately acidic and bitter. A very good IPA by a very small brewery.

Classic IPA project beer look - Golden color with a medium head. Aroma has some nice earthy grapefruit. pine, and floral notes. Flavor is a a really nice earthy-sweet mix of Cascades with some light malt. Another really good IPA project beer.

Taster on tap at brewpub, "Cascade Anniversary IPA". Dark copper. Smells awesome....very floral and grapefruit. Very strong hop taste, a little unbalanced and a little bitter....but that’s what I like in a really hoppy IPA! Loved this, definitely my favorite of their beers.

Same body, appearance, and malt backbone of all the other eperimental IPA’s. Aroma is typicla cascade hops with a moderate amount of citrus with some other floral notes. Top 5 in the experimental lineup for me.
