goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Apr 21, 2008 Tap @ Mugs. Poured a clear gold with a white head. The aroma is citrusy and somewhat sweet. Some pine. Citrus flavor followed by a fair amount of bitterness. Very long dry finish with a light-medium body. You can tell the malt is there but it doesn’t jump right out.
decaturstevo (1280), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 30, 2008 Copper pour with off white head and lace. Medium hop aroma with hints of sweet malt. Medium bitter on the front and a solid hard bitter finish. Carbonation and mouthfeel are good as well. Solid all round beer. shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA Jul 26, 2008 Pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, slightly fruity, and citrus hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, biscuit, and a bitter citrus finish. thenick (583), North Bellmore, New York, USA Jul 1, 2008 Tap. Pours a deep gold with a very slight head. Aroma has sweet and fruity notes in there. Taste is slight sweetness up front, slight bitterness in the back, and a watery finish. I was let down by this one. hopscotch (4591), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jun 17, 2008 Bottle…Thinkin’ ‘Bout Thirteen Hours O’ Drinkin’ (tew man wrecking crew)... Clear, deep golden ale with little to no head. The aroma offers notes of toffee, caramel, grapefruit and cotton candy. Full-bodied and oily with fizzy carbonation. Very lightly acidic. Modest caramel sweetness precedes medium grapefruit pith bitterness. Lengthy, bitter finish. Bottle provided by mgumby10! mgumby10 (1650), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2008 Handbottle courtesy of Miver. Pours a fairly clear amber, with a small off white head. Smells of citric hops and a balancing malt presence, as well as some citrus fruit as well. Theflavor was also really well balanced with a perfect amount of hop bitterness, spicy pepper, and grapefruit all mixed in together nicely. The pepper really lingers in the aftertaste giving it a nice sharp bite. Had some good flavor going on here. Enjoyed this.
